About Szkola Podstawowa Nr 3 im. Janusza Korczaka

Picture
Our school is a co-educational primary school for pupils ( this year 437) aged 6 - 12  with some integrated classes where special needs pupils and disabled pupils are in classes with other pupils but the class is supported by an extra teacher. The school is located in a small town on the outskirts of the capital city Warsaw and with its 15 year history the school is the newest in town. Pupils come from families of varied material and social background, most parents work in Warsaw and commute. That is why a lot of pupils have to be taken care of after lessons at a school club which is open from 7.15 am till 5.00 pm. The school enjoys good reputation in the local community and aims at maintaining it. Our teachers are eager to know other educational systems and work with other teachers in order to share experiences and methods. The role of the school in this project is to be in charge of a common multi-lingual dictionary and keep it up to date.
As for teachers altogether there are 48 teachers. This includes the pre-school teachers, teachers who teach classes 1-3 and 4-6, teacher assistants in integration classes, the school club teachers, psychologists, speech therapist, rehabilitation therapist,a priest and two nuns.
